Projects
A 14-villa beachfront resort in Badung, Bali, built on a coastal site with elevated pile foundations to suit sandy soil conditions and salt-air exposure. Villa construction was coordinated with landscape works to preserve the site's existing vegetation.
About Project
This resort development consists of 14 private villas set along a coastal plot in Badung, each with its own pool and garden. The design accounts for the site’s proximity to the shoreline, from foundation type to material selection.
Project Highlights
14 private villas, each with a pool and private garden
Coastal site with direct beach access
Landscape design integrated around existing site vegetation
Construction Period
What We Did
Tsuraven carried out construction across the villa units and surrounding grounds, including:
Elevated pile foundations suited to sandy coastal soil
Villa structural works and roofing
Corrosion-resistant fittings and finishes for salt-air exposure
Pool construction for each villa unit
Landscape and external works across the site
Working with the Coastal Environment
Building close to the shoreline meant accounting for sandy soil conditions, salt-air exposure, and environmental sensitivities from the outset. Foundation design, material selection, and construction sequencing were all adjusted to suit the site rather than a standard inland approach.
Key Considerations
Foundation design suited to sandy, low-bearing coastal soil
Material durability against salt-air corrosion
Coordination with environmental requirements for coastal sites
Construction access across a site with limited vehicle routes
